Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~Philippians 4:8~

Early Dinner Plan

On the menu this evening:

Panko crusted chicken strips with optional mushroom gravy
roasted herb potato wedges
steamed green beans
fresh fruit cup (cantaloupe and banana) with a dollop of Cool Whip

Simple and fast. So we can head out the door on errands quickly. And no pictures  this time.

Ah, I caught your post just when it came on. I was sitting down with a drink in hand because I have been so thirsty as of late. Well that sounds really good yaya, your dinner. Where are you headed out to? Are you going bye bye? :d As for our dinner, esposo will eat left overs of white rice and chicken, me I won't eat tonight because I over ate yesterday when he was off work. I had a burrito earlier and that's good enough. I may have some cantalope later. Eat well and be hardy. I am having problems with the new stuff that Blogger gave us. Can't move things around like we used to and the typing can only go in certain areas. I'll learn how to use it eventually. Take care. Oh, I'm thinking of taking off that new background I put on because it takes up to much time loading.

Hi...your menu looks really good. How do you do the chicken strips? Just coat and bake or do you fry them? I just got a great deal on chicken breasts and they are smaller pieces, but not quite strips...I thought I'd go ahead and cut some of them in strips, freeze, and use them for quick meals too. I've never tried the Panko but I'll have to give it a try.

Thanks for the compliment about my new picture....no makeover, but wouldn't that be fun? Just a more recent photo, though I have been losing a few pounds......very slowly.....sometimes too slowly I think....but I guess that's the best way in the long run.

Hope you're having a great week. It sounds like you're busy. Things just seem to speed up this time of year, don't they? Oh and I thought your combination of bananas and cantaloupe in your fruit cup sounded interesting....I've never tried those two together. I have a pot of vegetable beef soup on for tonight and I'm having cornbread muffins with it...and since I have some bananas and cantaloupe I think I'll make a little fruit bowl to go with it all. Thanks for the idea!

mmmm sounds delish! we had steamed green beans tonight too- i don't think i ever tire of them. sadly, I put butter salt and pepper on them, so they aren't quite as healthy as they could be... but oh-so-tasty!

DArnold23, I'll stop over at your place to visit.

Diane, that's how I like to prepare our green beans with a little butter and lots of black pepper!

Peggy, yes they were really good, and I have some leftover for today too!

Hi, Renee! Thank you!

Beverly, Thank you so much, and you know you're always welcome if you're ever in this neck of the woods. :)
I'm certain your Honey is going to enjoy the sausage recipe! But do add the maple syrup, it makes it soo good!
